Studies show that the first olive tree was planted in Palestine- the Holy Land- as this tree is considered one of the major crops in Palestine. Olive planting is characterized by the fact that it is a rain-fed not irrigated agriculture and it does not use chemical fertilizers and pesticides as most of the olive trees are perennials and huge, in addition to the fact that the methods and practices followed in olive harvesting are still manual and traditional.
There are several types of the Palestinian Olive Oil, among which are: The Virgin oil, which is extracted from the olives without causing any changes or alterations on the oil characteristics, its acidity is less than 2/100; Extra Virgin, whose quality is higher than the first type, it is extracted from the first oil squeeze and its acidity rate is less than 1/100. The third type is the Organic Oil which has less than 0.8/100 acidity.
Olive Oil is packaged in glass and metal bottles that correspond to the international standards and specifications; glass bottles are available in sizes: 250ml, 500ml, and 750ml, while metal bottles sizes are available in 1 liter, 3 liters, 5 liters, 10 liters and 15 liters.
The ancient origins of this tree in this blessed and holy land may have enormous health benefits, including: lowering levels of cholesterol and blood pressure, preserving sugar in the blood and fortifying the body bones.
